Well so far that's not happened. But if someone said that, and I was interested I would definitely say yes.

Friends relationships also have the tendency to stay that way. Once you're "just friends" you probably won’t ever be more than that. This really isn't a problem for me though, I like having a lot of friends, but it's counterproductive if I was looking for a potential girlfriend.

If a lady you're interested in says, "Let's just be friends," then tell her, "I have enough friends. See ya."

Unless she pursues you after that, you won't be missing much, I assure you.

To everyone else:

You know those times when you're moping about how this one girl was, like, perfect for you and you felt free to be yourself around her until she either went off with this as*hole boyfriend of hers or only wanted to be friends, and you just can't get her out of your mind and wonder if and when you'll ever have a chance of being in a relationship? Well, you look really pathetic when you do that.

Seriously, 90% of people you pine over aren't worth the amount of worrying you invest into them. They aren't any happier than you, or less messed up, nor have you really "connected" to them to the degree that you think you have. When they steal your hearts they almost always steal your brains as well, and only time, if anything, will make you realize this.

Ditto, except minus the touch aversion

And I'm still fat

To be fair, I don't have the touch aversion any more. But before I decided to get over it, I was definitely sending out constand "undateable" signals even just from that alone.
