Having seen your links on the "post a pic" thread I think you would be on more than a few people's lists

And since autism is rising, our chances of taking over the world are increasing. :D

Also, personality is more important than looks. Personality can make an otherwise attractive person ugly.

Again I need to see pics!! ! This is one of my obessions. LOL

Sorry Carla, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable  ...in case there was any ambiguity in that message, I was just saying I think you're attractive. Take that any way you like :)

I scrolled back and didn't see the quoted message in the thread. Did you delete it?

Interesting stuff. Sexiness is more a state of mind than an outward appearance. The epitome of beauty as defined by the cultural repetition and worship of that "type" has changed, and will continue to change over the ages. That said, though, there are many many people who are still attracted to those who don't fit the stereotype of beauty ... it's a function of recognizing the whole person, not just what essentially amounts to a flashy commercial that many seduced by the beauty culture choose to present to the world. Duh.

There is a certainly a biological imperative to choose a mate that you deem to be healthy reproductive stock. Fortunately, the world works well in its selection of infinite variations, so to think people won't continue to pair up and reproduce if they don't achieve an acceptable standard of beauty is ludicrous.

and then there's plastic surgery --- the very depth of human shallowness.

Yeah, I'd upload it. Now I got my hair cut so I'm a little more shaven there, heh.

I live in Croydon where ugly people are not being farmed out of the gene pool. Lots and lots of ugly people round there. I mean REALLY ugly, the works.

I agree that you can't imitate real beauty. Look at Paris Hilton, she must think she's gorgeous with her blonde hair, fake tan, long legs and perfect teeth - but she's not beautiful, she just looks trashy. Same for people like Jordan, Jodie Marsh and all those pneumatic chest types so beloved of the British gossip rags.

Paris Hilton doesn't have an ugly face though. She just dresses and acts trashy. Jordan has an ugly face.

That's true. Paris looks nice in the few pictures I've seen of her with less makeup.

Is it true that aspies are uglier than people who are NT? My son definately does not fall in to that category. He is beautiful and he has inherited genes from his AS dad ( who did some catwalk modelling) and his very eccentric mother who has also done some 1950's style glamour modelling. AT the same time he has inherited AS. When I was younger, through my teenage years I felt I was a very very ugly girl, so therefore surrounded myself with people with very low self esteem who were not physically attractive, and were also bullied. These people were extremely intelligent and are now in fantastic jobs in science and music.

One day I dyed my hair and put on a bit of make up and suddenly I was told I was very pretty, and all of these people who once bullied me wanted to be my friends and boyfriends ( I said no though, because I hate bullies!) I had not changed that much physically...so why did these people suddenly fancy me?

Because I had gained Confidence. Confidence is far more attractive than any physical aspect of a person. If you become confident within yourself, you are far more likely to find love. Maybe thats why there are many aspies in this world who say that they are ugly. Not because they are, but because they are not happy with themselves and therefore look for someone who they find unattractive.

I however am attractive....weird, odd, eccentric, single....but attractive! As is my son Will Bubs.

Thanks for listening lol

Aspies are not uglier. Alot of them just don't make an effort. I am not ugly, and look even better when I put on a bit of makeup and keep my hair nice. A little bit can go a very long way. :D
It will bring out in a person what was already there.. but just not that noticable.
