I edited the usernames.

aspi-rant just said that because he finds her picture "immodest' , that's why he said such crap.

As for equals_true, I don't know in what thread and in what context was that.

context doesn't make it any less rude.

How did I miss this???

First of all I am sorry if I caused any offence. In my defence context does make a differnce. I said:

Quote:
Personally I find you more attractive than *****, then again I have weird tastes. I quite like short hair on women, tendency toward darker (although more open-minded about that these days), and womanly features rather than girly or baby faced (which according to some research is not the norm). I go for interesting natural features and. What is often considered a perfect beauty I don't find attractive at all. Not because they are ugly but more there is less visually there. I guess it is the "uncanny valley" effect

It simply didn't occur to me that it would cause offence and lower self esteem, in hindsight maybe. However there are so many any things that can do just that, which would never be considered rude. Maybe they should be. This thread itself is a threat to someone's self esteem.

The person is question was getting plenty of compliments, so it was in this context that I made the remark and also in the context that some women had stated that they wouldn't post their pic because said person had.

That being said I won't make that mistake again. I will just mention the people I like the look of, although I was reluctant to do this to begin with, until that point where I thought: f**k it why not?. Forbid I actually raise someone’s self esteem.

Attraction is very personal in my opinion.

sure what you say all makes sense, yet even in the context it sounds sort of rude to compare... and I don't know if you've noticed but the person in question actually changed her avatar from her picture (that she'd had for ages) to a more neutral image, and although I'm not blaming anyone for that I think it's a shame...

just a proof that this thread can do more harm than good, as obviously it made a lot of people feel bad about themselves...

now stick out your backside and receive the spanking!

I really don't like that expression for some reason. Don't know why.

Catch me if you can

Seriously though consider this situation: X person post pics that are very popular salacious even. The Y person goes to post some pics, they don't because they don't feel they meassure up. Z person just post their pics without looking thought the whole thread, but get dismayed at the lack of responses. All of these are related to confidence.

"Rude" is a convention. Self confidence isn't.

Arguably you could say that self confidence is all about playing smoke and mirrors with yourself as you can't objectively quantify it.

starvingartist, I had critical/uncaring parents (one of each) too. I know that it really does do a number on your self-esteem. Have you ever had any counseling or read any self-help books to try to improve this? I have a book that I found useful if you're interested.

Anna Banana, I assume I'm the X person in question.

As I remember I posted that pic because pandd was getting on my nerves in the "feminism is population control." We got to arguing about bonobos and she said some goofy stuff and I just wanted to prove a point. My point was that humans are more like the common chimp because of sexual practices. Anyways, no one cares but if you are interested look up ounions thread and maybe it will make sense.

I also was pissed at the OP on this thread because he said NT women are better looking than us. Let him go whack off to porn on the internet because any guy who is so rude to say such a thing is not getting the real thing.

I changed my avatar because Magnus is a Robot Fighter in a comic book. People who don't have feelings and can't empathize are like robots. Aspies have emotions but they can sometimes put too much emphasis on logic and forget how to connect with people/animals.

When I posted my pic I was sort of pissed at this jerk off aspie robot guy who crushed me. I'm a little bit of a show off too. Sorry to offend anyone. It's no worse than all those NT broads on myspace showing off and it's pretty tame in comparison to whats out there.

What I find interesting is how the hot aspie guy thread is so civil and there isn't so much competition. It may have to do with females not judging as harshly or maybe it's due to men not identifying themselves with how they look. :?

Magnus does it really matter. You are what you are and a photo is just a photo. Like it has been put it you are sensitive to not being voted as most attractive woman - it might just be because you havnt put as galmorous photo of yourself. No need to take everything so seriously.
