hello everyone
i am an aspie girl and i have to say that my english is not very good.
there is a guy i like very much and i think that he has asperger too.
i ve been thinkin that he also likes me in a way.we dont talk too much but he seemed interested in me.(well yes i am an aspie but i have some sort of female instinc)anyway something happened yesterday.
even if i didnt percieve it as a negative thing, one of my nt male friends says that it is not a good sign.
We had dinner with a group of 5.i chatted a little with him.and then we all decided to go somewhere else.
when we arrived,he touched my shoulder(he was behind me) and said hello to me i turned him and he realized i am not the person he thought.he said that he confused me with someone else.
by the way i should have indicate this earlier, i only see this guy time to time.lets say one time in four months..:D
here is my question,is it possible for a guy to confuse the girl he likes with another girl?
well it seemed impossible to me right now.:)hmm i guess he does not like me.
i dont have any male aspie frriend so i just wanted to know your opinions.

i confuse people a lot, my face recognition is too poor, he may like you but failed to recognise you. i get a surprise how differently people look at times, yet it's the same person. it takes a while before i fix someone's face in my mind, it'd be easier if people didn't change their hair or clothes style.

If he saw you from the back then it's very possible that he thought you were someone else. Maybe your hair color and the length is the same as someone he knows. I think he probably really thought you were someone else. I wouldn't take the shoulder tapping as an indication that he likes you in "that" way. It doesn't mean that he doesn't like you at all, it just means that he confused you with someone else. Has happened to me before too.

Don't read anything into it either way.

It is possible he likes you, but froze up or got nervous after he tapped your shoulder. See what happens next time you see him.

It doesn't even have to be from the back... one time, I saw this guy I knew walking towards me, except for the fact that it was actually a woman (that I also knew)...
