As a follow up to my thread seen here, http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt98603.html I am now asking for advice on how to make this go as smoothly as possible, we're only going out to eat so I'm not sure if I should dress casually or what, being an Aspie there might be some things I might do that could seem off putting to her, so if anyone has any advice I would love to here it!!

Edit: Also how do I know if she sees this as a date or not?

I would say dress fairly casual, but I'm no expert, considering I've never dated before.

All I can say is good luck! And enjoy yuor date :) (or try to)

Keep it casual. Don't put any pressure on her. No demands or expectations.

Good luck man! Whatever you do, don't make the "conversation" one-sided,
or else your lady friend might think you are rude and vice-versa.

Dress a bit casual, but not too casual if you know what I mean. Don't get too nervous, and of course just be yourself.

Good luck! :D

If you don't mind me asking you Alex, why is it awkward for you?

He's right it is awkward. Even for NT's it is awkward. This isn't a date though, you said it yourself. If it was me, I'd get away from a situation where it's all based on talking, but of course I'm going to hang out with a girl at starbucks next week so hey mine will be nearly as awkward.

well first of all, there's a table between u and the girl. second of all, the girl may be all up tight due to the formal nature of having dinner together. 3rd, the whole issue with who pays the check. i'd just tell her to split it but she could have some weird rule about the dude paying not that I care.

if you're worrying about whether she sees this as a "date" you have the wrong mindset.
