It's almost like I'm afraid. Any time I get them, I immediately panic, and wonder if somethings wrong. And then I scrunch my face up with discomfort and try and make them leave.
Afterwords, I figure it was okay, because it was interesting, and means I like someone. And it's enjoyable, I guess. Like, getting it is a good sign. But the actual "butterflies" unnerve me.

Anyone else like this?

Are you joking, or serious?
I mean the sensation in one's stomach.

I was joking.

I can't say that I relate to your situation. Usually talking to someone I'm interested in seems stressful only retrospectively. I don't find being around said someone stressful in and of itself.

I'm not sure if I've ever had butterflies in my stomach. But I know an old lady who swallowed a spider. :eew:

It wriggled and wiggled and tickled inside her. 8O

Butterflies are close to the same sensation when my anxiety kicks in. Do you relate teh feeling to something else- and that's why you don't like it?

I don't think so. Even if I'm alone, thinking about something sweet they did...The actual butterflies are immensely bizarre and unnatural feeling, and quite frankly...A tad scary. XD

Yes that's how i feel when i'm attracted to someone and i don't like it. I just want to be around them, enjoy their company and feel normal. When i get the butterflies i feel anxious and i would rather feel safe. I also get the feeling of bein ashamed around someone i like.

Spazzergasm, the butterflies are sensory receptors in your gut telling you to be alert; that something's different and you should be on your toes. It stands to reason that it would be unsettling having odd feelings that manifest as odd physical sensations.

Nothing to be ashamed of. 'Liking' somebody, and all that goes with it, is terrifying. So, if butterflies are harbingers of all *that* rot, well, it's kinda like the rumbling of thunder before the lights go out, in't it?

i dont get butterflies...

What I do get in such situations, however, is a very big sense of total paralysis. I can't speak, can't move, can't do anything. My face just glazes over...
