Ive had a few women come and go in my life and im only just 14. never had sex, never even had a first kiss. no its not because they dont want to its because i am aspie im afraid of getting into a proper relationship because of fear the person will get hurt from me or others around me (but i form tremendous bonds with people after they pass my tests of trust once past that they are my freinds)

I was just wondering does this affect anyone else affected by fear of their other being harmed?
or if you think you know what true love is?

Why are you worried about love and sex at 14? Don't you have a hobby or something?

I doubt that all the people at your school are having sex at that age. Maybe some are, but the rest are bluffing so they won't be seen as 'p*****s' or whatever they call non-alpha males these days.

Wow, 13 and 14. Is it just me or does that sound really wrong? What the hell is up with kids these days?

Most people at high school don't have sex at 13. Hell, half of them don't even have sex at 16. If you believe everything you hear you believe too much.

At 14 there's no such thing as a "proper relationship."

You need to work on yourself first and foremost. Worrying about other people too much at your age as an aspie is only going to make life more frustrating, and when you're older all these years of frustration will have left you warped and hopeless.

Sidenote: WTF is up with KIDS having sex at 13 and younger? I don't remember being interested in procreation at that age.

lowfreq: Most kids at around the age of 14 want sex or are at least interested in it, if I recall my own school years correctly. However, that doesn't mean they're actually having sex. Much of the pressure to have sex when you're young is there because everyone thinks everyone else is doing it, when they're not.

Oh, and btw hale_bopp, isn't the average age that a person loses their virginity around about 16-17? It's hard to believe, from our perspective. I personally thought everyone in high school was as gutless as me when it came to dating and relationships, but I guess I was wrong. Then again it isn't likely those statistics are entirely accurate.

I love it when people hug me and I don't expect it.

I must have been a late bloomer, I don't think I really ever thought about sex until I was 15. Oddly enough, the first time I ever got drunk was at 15. Is there a connection here?

Where I am, both sides of the story are true. I've seen people get pregnant as early as sophmore year of high school, but at the same time, we also have people who know they're going to hold off.

Really, I don't see what people are so shocked about. There's nothing wrong with kids that age who want sex. I would say that if anyone is at fault for their early sexual activity, it is not the kids but the parents, schools, the media and wider society. Nobody ever talks about sex in a matter-of-fact way to kids. And if they do they are somehow seem to be 'polluting' their minds, or something similar. Of course all this is assuming that there's something inherently wrong with people that age having sex in the first place.

Looking back at my own school years, I would say that if I had the opportunity at that age to have sex, I probably would have taken it. It would've been too bad if I had had that opportunity then though, because at that age I probably didn't know much about safe sex or contraception. I certainly wouldn't have known how to obtain contraception, in any case. Because contraception wouldn't have been easily available to me, chances are I would've made someone pregnant and in the process contracted an STD. (Of course this is all hypothetical).

Sex at 14 in my opinion is extreme, who wants it at that age? :?

In my opinion sex isn't really important for me.

Think about it, if all of those girls who did it decided to fall off a cliff, would you join them? :?:

Luscifer, is there actually a person you're currently interested in? All this talk about whether 14 is too young or not for sex is pointless if all you're doing is thinking about sex and relationships without actually having someone to act out these desires with.
