I have a thing for Middle Eastern, Asian, and Latio men, but based on the ones that I came into contact in America, I have yet to see a true gentleman! Or at least someone that would understand me and all that jazz.

Um...
1.Find a map of the world or a globe.
2.The Middle East is the countries east of the Medterranean Sea where Europe and Asia and Africa are closest together.
Asia is on the west side of the Pacific Ocean, and usually
people think of Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, even though
the continent is defined as East of the Ural Mountains.
Latin America is everything south of the USA Border except
for Brazil and the Guyanas and some of the islands like
Bahamas and Virgin Islands, etc. OR, it may mean the
isthmus between Mexico and South America only, which
is also called Central America. But Puerto Rico is considered
"Latin America" even though it is an island.
3.There is an assumed reasonable probability of finding
what you are looking for in these places if you were to go
there.

This is just a brain-spew of raw data.

Why would Brazil be excluded from Latin America?

Brazilian Portuguese is just as much a derivative of Latin as the Spanish spoken elsewhere in South America. They are equally "Latin", just different varieties.

Wikipedia thinks that Latin America includes Brazil too.

Well, Brazil IS part of Latin America, but we're usually not considered latinos. This term is usually reserved for those Latin Americans who come from Spanish speaking countries. And Brazilians usually do not consider themselves to be latinos (myself included).

Speaking purely from my own experience, in Seattle, it's very common to find attractive middle eastern men in just about any modern dance-music-oriented club. It's very obvious when they're single, too, hehe. Latino guys a little less. There's also a couple clubs that cater to middle eastern culture. They're around...

I'd imagine other, cosmopolitan, coastal cities would be similar. As a tactic, you might look try following the music acts to find the venues. A good latin group or middle eastern artist would probably be eager to play a salsa club, or middle-eastern-style club.

What? Brazil is Latino. Latin as in Latin languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and it doesn't just refer to new world countries when it is in 'latin' form. They may not consider themselves Latin now but this is recent change, they certainly used to. Family was there in the 80s. As anything things tend to loose their meaning with the American influence. It does include Latin counties in the Caribbean.

Some of those cultures are steeped in machismo which tends to mean women are 2nd place. Some of those cultures are even downright misogynist.

Maybe you could find a nice American guy who's a gentleman and merely looks like that type - dark and handsome.

Agreed. Good point.

It sounded like it was the physical part she liked, though, not the cultural norms. But I could be wrong.

If the guys are like that in America it's usually because the family has continued practising the norms in their new country and raised their children that way.

If the physical part is what counts then just find that somewhere. What is it that the OP likes about those men, aside from looks, is my question now, I guess.

There are lots on RSVP here .. in Australia.

I met a lovely middle Eastern man there.

As I said I live in Aus though - our immigration policies over the last few years have been such that in some circles many foreign men/people are less socially acceptable than Aussies.
Suits me to a tee! I have no such judgements. I judge people, but not based on what country they come from !
There are many handsome guys on there. I guess they have more trouble meeting girls and feel more inadequate, that's why.
I'm half European anyway and was brought up with that influence; I find a lot of aussie guys aren't my cup of tea at all - totally empathise with the opening poster and I must tell you mine was 6'3, dark, haandsome and a doctor (ie intelligent).

:help:

Wear a burqa around. Then they'll find you.
