Did she say actually anything else like she does not want to get involved with you etc ?
Otherwise she might be just testing you to see how you react to it. It's good to have something in common with your bf/gf however there are many couples who dont have much in common anyway. So dont just give up yet.

Yes, cause otherwise it may have just been a comment. If she did use it in a 'I'm not interested' context...I agree that it could be an excuse, unless she really believes that. I've just never known a girl that met a guy she reeaaally liked then realized they didn't have stuff in common and lost interest. If it was me, I would agree with her
