Do you prefer the woman to make a move?

Guess the question depends on whether the askee is male or female.

As I'm male, and straight, I much prefer the woman to make the move.
I can't read signals for...toffee... and I'm so afraid of trying something and being completely wrong. If she makes the move, I know it's good.

In a general sense, it's the 21st century, who cares who makes the first move?

I voted yes, but this is because I wouldn't be good at making the first move myself.

When I had my first kiss I had to plan it with my (then) girlfriend. After the first time we both felt a lot more relaxed kissing though.

Women being the first to signal an interest in dating, kissing, or sex? What guy WOULDN'T like that? (Provided it's coming from someone they like as well.) It takes out all the guesswork, and I just can't fathom a guy who wouldn't appreciate that without some sort of mental problems.

I really can't vote either way on that.
Sometimes i might want to make the move, other times I might find it convenient for the other to make the move. I can't decide clear cut which sex should do the move though. I believe both are responsible for making the move.

I've never been used to making the first move. I've always had girls make moves on me, but deep down, I really want to make the move myself.

Everything in my life philosophy would have me get it over with, but I have realized that if a female doesn't have the guts to be honest with me then, they never will be about everything else they need to be with me in a relationship. So I purposefully watch and wait, not enjoying it much though.

I think men should be leaders in the relationship.

You cannot both initiate. Somebody has to do the first move. It's men's job to seduce women, because God gave them the autority on their family.

Can't tell if this is sarcastic or not...

Anyway, whoever feels they can -- should. I don't think wanting to initiate, but holding out and waiting for the other party is a strategy that makes any sense. Like somebody said, the war of love is won by surrender...

That's not. God created both men and women to complete each other. I enjoy every aspect of being a women, including giving the man enough respect to let him be the leader.

I think he meant that there should not be an unwritten rule about it.

That said, I usually make the first move.
