This is a popular topic, or at least it seems to me to be a popular one. I go nuts. Almost literally nuts.

I studiously avoid all contact with them. It sucks.

That depends on the situation. If it's a colleague or friend of a friend I try to talk to them, probably far too much. If I have no prior connection I have no idea what to do.

I used to draw sketches and portraits of the girls I was crushing on and couldn't bring myself to talk to. Of course, most of them never saw any of the drawings, so its not like it helped me meet them. But it gave me an excuse for staring at them a lot. 8O

Hmm
...that's sort of a stalking type of behavior when you think about it, huh?

Its very creepy.

OP: I don't talk to people I have a crush on. I'm too nervous to.

When I am with someone I love to touch and hug and kiss them, sometimes squeeze and bite them

I kind of get friendly with em; like do things for em, talk to em, & try to spend some time near em. They think I'm just being nice & that I mite be gay till the crush gets very strong & I make the mistake of trying to ask em out. 1ce I 'm at that point; I'm so nervous that I screw it up & end up getting rejected very badly. I think I have Tourette Syndrome when I have strong crushes cuz what I say is not what I think & it comes out very wrong. I should NOT come on to women offline

I don't think you mean in an established relationship, do you?

Try and establish eye contact. If you catch her eye, try and determine whether she thinks you're creepy, or not. Try smiling. If she smiles back or looks approachable, then go talk to her. Ask questions, listen to replies. Try and make her laugh, but don't be crude. Be open, and friendly and receptive. Try a compliment and see how she takes it. Do her small favours and kindnesses. You don't want to go touching her all over before you get things progressed to a certain stage, but If you feel rapport, you might put a gentle hand on a shoulder, or arm. Hands, faces, hair, and torso are off limits unless you are fairly intimately acquainted.

That might be more info than you wanted, but I hope some of it helps.

You are lucky to be so pretty, that wouldn't work for me.

At this point in my life, there isn't anyone I have a crush on. It's been a long time since I've met any women.

I show affection like a cat would. I'll leave a dead rat on your doorstep. I think people misunderstand my affections.

Yeah, maybe...but with the ones who did see them...it worked like a charm.

That's good advice. There's a lady friend of mine at work who I really like, and I've been doing these things listed here. So far, it hasn't freaked her out. I have even touched her hands on several occassions, and she didn't mind at all. I think she's comfortable around me.
