Yes, when I was younger and something like this would happen, I'd endlessly obsess over what I did to screw it up or get depressed and think that my situation was hopeless. This time I rather just enjoyed the experience without any preset expectation or goal of any kind. It helps that I've gotten over the fairytale Disney romance ideal and the conservatism of my parents. It makes things a great deal less complicated. When you're not looking for THE ONE, then there's less pressure to try to make everything perfect.
