Now let's get this straight.
You are a pretty girl-right?
You want to go to the prom but you don't have a date-right?
Well the problem is, proms sound a bit naff.
Now if you were to go to, let's say, an Iron Maiden concert, problem will be solved as lots of guys will be fighting each other over you to be your date.
Weirdos like me, for example.

It has nothing to do with appearance, I'll say that right off the bat. Though the picture quality is a tad poor, so far as I can tell you're quite pretty.
Here's the thing you have to consider: guys can be very, very shy. Especially if they don't already have a girlfriend to act as a date.
When I was in high school, most of the people in my group of friends just kind of went with each other. There were about an even number of males and females and since they were all single they just went together. I didn't go because I was all weird and antisocial, but I remember one friend trying to get me to go with one of her friends.
So my advice? If you have any male friends who'll be dateless, just ask if they feel like going and wouldn't mind going with a friend. Because, really, who cares?
It's amazing how obvious these things seem when you arn't right there and it's years behind you. ^_^;
