Where can I meet smart girls in a town like Paris?

Nude beach? France is full of those right?

Would be hard to find a nude beach around Paris, though.

Take a bus or something and get to one. I have no idea how far inland Paris is because I'm an ignorant American.

Any Parks in particular? The one near where I live is full of racailles de clichy (it's full of people my age but the dodgy kind, you know with knifes and paint sprays...)

And then once I gather my courage and go there, do I just like approach random girls and say 'Hi' or what?...

Beats me. Wouldn't know how to approach any kind of woman anywhere on this planet.

I tried the crazy method several times and it doesn't work (Approach a random girl and say "HELLO DARLING, I'VE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR YOU, WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE TO THE OPERA"... I guess it's kind of creepy?)

I'd think it's funny but I'm weird.

The most simple method for you: Go to museums and concentrate on something that you feel really interested in.(Research good amount of information about it first.) Make yourself look good and rich,well-mannered...But not like some particular types of upstart....

Or historical sites..etc

And if any girls has interest on it, talk to her about it....

It depends on which type of relationship would you want...

And if.....Just go to brothel, it is the easiest way.

I would be annoyed by that way you mentioned above. Why you just named yourself as'oldfashioned'? This type of people would not do so, in my impression

God no, I am offended! I am not looking for a 'girl' I am looking for a girl in view of something more serious not for sex...

The issue with that is that, typically, one is not expected to speak in a library. ^ _ ^

That said, the line for la Bibliothèque Ste.-Geneviève (près du Panthéon; RER B - Luxembourg) is usually pretty long, and you could more than likely chat up some beautiful women there while waiting to get in to the main space (when I was there, wait time was typically an hour or more). You could also meet gals at the BnF, which has quite a few non-reading areas for talking.

As for cafés/bookstores, there's a pretty good anime bar somewhere in the Latin Quarter, and the people who frequent Shakespeare and Co. usually are pretty intelligent, though these are generally more touristy areas I suppose.
