I live not so far from Fleetwood, which used to send passenger ferries to Larne up until last year. Put it this way, I'd rather be in Fleetwood than Larne.

(And I should know - I've been for a night out in Fleetwood and I'd definitely prefer the look of the place to Larne!)

That's funny: me too. Though I agree with you, Tequila.

Does one of those actually exist or did you just make that up?

It's a pity, because a few miles up the Antrim coast and all changes again.

Well it wasn't really a date but years ago a girl I was hanging out with took me back to her boyfriend's apartment and started making out with me. And yes, I was that much of a gullible tool.

I don't have any experience, but I'm going to assume that girls would not like having a date in a port-a-potty.

Concerts and dinners at loud restaurants would be my ideas of bad dates.

Haha! Larger women who love their food? That's me! I'm unashamed of it too, despite the odd woman now and then giving me an evil look for it. It's not like I stuff my face. I just suppose they're thinking, "A fat person eating junk food? How DARE they?".

A date to a chip shop would make damn sure I didn't arrange a second one.

I'm not too bad thanks Moog. Split up with boyfriend. I actually don't want a relationship anymore, I think friendship is far more valuable. What you been up to?

Obres - that's really crappy. :(

Even if it was a really posh chip shop, with proper utensils and everything? ;)

What's the issue with chippies? Not everyone has tonnes of cash to chuck around, and fish n chips is lovely anyway. Maybe I'm a cheap date, but I'd have no problem with a bag of chips and sitting on a bench on a pier somewhere. It's the person you're with that matters, not how much money is spent.

[/rant] :P

It's very person-specific, I think.

Cumberland Pencil Museum.

Probably not a good place for a first date, but it does have the worlds largest colour pencil!
