I am an almost 27 year old guy from Sydney, Australia and was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was about 10 or 12 and I was one of only 2 cases my childhood psychiatrist knew of in the whole country at the time.

I have since my vision went a little bad gone from loving to read fantasy novels that were 500 page books in a day (when I was 15) over to being an MMO player to escape my no friends troubles.

I never really thought I would get to the point where I would want a girlfriend (and i've never had one) but lately I have been feeling very lonely and been wanting to find someone

Sadly I don't get out much or have any female friends and i'm very shy about just walking up to a stranger out of the blue to the point where I just can't do it 8O

I even feel like I want to settle down and get married at some point which is a shocking feeling after how i've always viewed things in the past.

Considering that basically 100% of the dating sites on the Internet are total bull with about 1000 girls who all look exactly the same since someone decided to play around and download the picture like that and my situation I am starting to think my prospects are very low indeed.

I feel weird saying this but women that are 30 despite being only 3 years older than me throw up warning signs in my head because to me I still feel like a kid who never really grew up from when I was 12 cause the time went by so fast and even though my mother is now almost 47 I for some reason mostly can't bring myself to the point of thinking of them as dating age for me because of being too mature. But because I am 27 I keep thinking that 18 or 20 year old girls would think me too old and that it would just feel wrong to go for a girl that young.

xD what a whimp I am lol i'm actually kinda getting teary and sweating and all emotional trying to express this in words.

Dunno what I expect posting this up here will do to help/change anything but as it is it can't really hurt either.

This might offer some insight.

I say to myself "It's hard to believe we're alone, because it's simply not true."
