So im never quite sure when to have the conversation reguarding what both myself and the person im with want out of a relationship, so when is best?

i don't think people feel it is universally the point that things become serious. some people decide on the relationship status BEFORE having sex, and others wait for quite a while after they start having sex. so i wondered why you chose that time.

Maybe you could do it gradually instead of having the full conversation like maybe you mention one things you'd like out of a relationship in a casual way when it's related to a conversation bout something else. See how she responds & take it from there. I know this doesn't sound very Aspie
