Sure, there's a reason why there are so many English language institutes, online classes, etc. People strive to learn other languages, and English is, let's accept it, the current lingua franca throughout the world. I guess in English-speaking countries there's not much incentive to learn other languages because everyone else learns English (and it's an easy-to-learn language, really - it has far fewer rules than Spanish or German, for example), but currently, with globalization, world trade, and all that, most people are learning English. And some are learning Chinese, too.


I agree on the part that stereotypes exist because, at some point, some real people existed (or still exist) that fit them, that's something I always say. What I don't agree on is the generalization. And I've been against generalizations (and labels) all my life. Some people may fit the stereotype, others don't. You can't make a judgement of the whole population based on half a dozen people you may have met. You have to take each person individually.

if you want to move to south america and dont want ot learn a new langege. go to guyana . they speck english there. seems like everyone always foregts about guyana being a south american coutry

A lot of the Caribbean speaks English too, plus you'd be closer to the beach. I assume it's expensive to move there as a foreigner though.

hyperlexian: you can keep saying I'm trolling, but I already explained that my aims are to help autistics realise that if they're awesome they don't need to fake it and they'll be loved by beautiful people, because that is my experience. That should be the end of the matter unless you receive complaints from any actual people.

well guyana is not a true caribean coutry it shares culturee as the islands but the country is in south america so it both a caribbean and south america, what makes people forget that we are a south american coutry is that we dont share latin culture.

It's only you who thinks I'm trolling. You can't suspend me for saying stuff that you personally disagree with. That would be a clear abuse of powers, though very much in character after demanding personal photographs. I see a pattern here.

the other moderators see what i see. this is not happening in a vacuum.

Hyperlexian, I read that thread about the photographs, maybe even posted. What was really clear to me was that you got the wrong end of the Fraac stick in a number of chats. Something like this....

Fraac "be yourself auties and beautiful women will love you. Beautiful people love me, crazy people hate me"
Hyperlexian "show us the photos, you are always making outlandish claims about being surrounded by beautiful women"

He was never trolling, and they aren't outlandish. He meant beautiful INSIDE, he said that, but you missed that. You were talking about physical looks, and Fraac said something like "if you think a photo could prove beauty you do not understand beauty". Its obvious, think California hippy "beautiful" man. You are talking at cross purpose.

Fraac has AS and his own idiosyncratic language, an ego the size of Wembley arena, and as he said, he was trying to make boost the confidence of the more self-depricating posters.

Intensely cocky maybe, trolling and trying to make others feel bad - definately not. I think he is an interesting contributor, a depressed autistic. Cut some slack.

sorry, but you're not fully aware of the situation, pastafarian. that's why we don't normally discuss these things publicly, but he isn't responding to my PMs and he has chosen to make this public. i would not call posts trolling if i did not have a significant amount of data to base it on. it's actually isn't only about the ridiculous "beautiful women" statements; there is a pattern of behaviour on the forum that is designed to instigate arguments and provoke other members.

if the word "trolling" is uncomfortable for you in regards to fraac's posts, try using the phrase "behavior intended to provoke or belittle other members", which is the wording from the rules.
