I am a female aspie and I've decided I need to meet some aspie guys. I've had 3 real relationships in my life; two were with guys I had no idea were horrible as I wasn't aware of the "signs" that most people would have seen, and although everyone else knew... no one told me. One was with someone who called himself an aspie, but I believe he has some type of personality disorder.

I am still young and I have a really strong desire for a partner in life, well... strong desire in other ways also.
I believe there's some awesome aspie guy out there who would be thrilled and amazed by me- and vice versa.

Any ideas?

(I don't like the whole dating site thing, though.)

Location and a post on the single's thread should put you on the game.
Good luck!

They say we're all different. What is it you're looking for in a guy?

Its times like this I wish Aspergers came with a 6th sense to detect other people with Aspergers.

Your best bet is to keep updated with the local events in case there are aspie conventions within your area. Second thing you need to do is to tell these "eveyone"s in your life that if they notice something in the future, that the need to tell you about it and not keep it to themselves.

Hope that helps

I agree, try to put in your thread title "anyone from location?" and just post around, there are plenty of guys on here looking for a relationship.

It seems like an aspie group is a good place to start.

I am an aspie girl whose really surprised u cant find an aspie guy.. maan ive dated 2 and half of them. the half is a bit of an odd situation. the half is more or less"ya this isnt working, want friends with benifits instead?" so thats 2 and a half... lol.

Anyways my point is, i find that when an aspie girl, isnt looking, she usually runs into a bottle load of aspie males...
Or you could simply move to either, Katherine, NT, Australia, or Darwin, NT, Australia. we have a lot of aspies up here apparently.

must be something in the water..

There maybe a local support group in your town for adult aspies/auties like there is here in washington DC, USA.

Every month we meet at a restaurant and so theres a room full of fellow people on the spectrum.

In the general population there are more male than female aspies so if your town has an equivalent group the sex ratio should be in your favor.

With our group -not sure what the sex ratio is- but it sure seems like the ladies arent lacking for attention. Atleast the ones I find attractive.

Like the other posts on here I'm surprised your having so much trouble finding an aspie male. Like what naturalplastic said there are more male aspies the female ones so it probably dosen't matter where your if you find an aspie group on websites like meetup guarantee they will more then likely be mostly guys. With all the aspie guys out there looking for relationships you'll have plenty of options to find one who's ok with being an aspie and at the same time knows how to control it.

Try the Eligible Oddbod thread here:

And try this website, which is affiliated:

http://www.aspieaffection.com/

Also try these picture / video threads to scope out who is physically attracted to you if that's how you roll:

Funny there are a lot of Aspies in a region with the abbreviation "NT".
