I surely can't be the only one on here. If so, that makes me feel pretty bad. I've never had a girlfriend. I would like one, but it's really pushing it if you're an Aspie virgin over 30 years of age.

I'll be 39 in a few months and have never even had a second date with someone, let alone sex. To be fair, I have had sex with no relationship offered to me several times but said no. There was no point as it would not have gotten me any closer to someone to love.

i'm almost 25 and still a virgin, yup, pretty obvious why it is far more common for males to be late bloomers when it comes to sex.

You're not the only one. Actually, it's quite common for aspie males to not even date until much later. I'm currently 32 and I only started dating a year ago, though it work out with that person.

What makes it more frustrating is that just about every girl I tried to date or see if we could form a serious relationship over the years instantly flaked when I admitted (since it couldn't be hidden and I won't lie) that I have never had a serious relationship before. Never mind the fact that I was a very late bloomer and I refused to date or have sex with any girl would only wants my body and nothing more. You would think that would be turn on: the fact I don't want to use women as objects and am interested in serious, committed relationships. I've also noticed that since I finally have a girlfriend (and hold her hand everywhere we go) women are hitting on me all the time, especially younger ones in the early 20s. Yes, its the dreaded Catch 22!

All I can say is don't be afraid to break the rules and go for a girl out of your normal parameters. You might be pleasantly surprised like I was. Luckily she was a bit clingy and direct with her desires or I would have never caught on!

Right now, I am 24 years old and I am still a virgin. I know this thread might not obtain to me since I am not over 30. But being a virgin isn't necessarily a bad thing. From how I see it, being a virgin just means you don't get used up too quickly by women like some guys who have sex all the time. Those guys (the sex hounds) get used up so much to the point that no lady would even want to consider dating/marrying them due to inability to trust them and/or fear of contracting some STDs from the sex-crazed guys that they never told their soulmates about.

On a side note, although I have dated girls plenty of times in the last 6-7 years of my life(first date for me came when I was 17), I never had a serious relationship with a woman (although there were girls I went to school with who had a crush on me and/or flirted with me). But most of that was because I chose not to have or find a serious girlfriend (until around 1-2 years ago) due to the fact that I had more important things to focus on (i.e. school, career, friendships, enjoying the young adult life, having fun while still young, etc.).

To summarize everything I have just mentioned above in one phrase, it would be this: think of being a virgin as "staying fresh" longer.

36 still single. Never had a serious relationship.

I think I might have gotten further ahead on this if it wasn't for the crumbling economy. Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but pursuing a relationship with someone while my personal financial situation is in bad shape doesn't make sense to me on my many levels.

I don't blame you for saying that. Why get into a serious relationship if you cannot even find the money to support yourself?

Fresh? Surely we're way over ripe and past our sell by date, by now.
