I have no experiences in such things.

I read on many websites that the female telling the male she likes him would make her seem "desperate", and that this is never a good option. Is that only for teenagers and below? How about the rest of us?

Is this a good thing for the female to ever do? Tell him she likes him more than a friend? Let's say she really likes this person, and is having a hard time being with him and keeping all of those feelings*.

*Quite obviously this hypothetical person is me, so any advice would be appreciated.

I would say yes - if you do it casually and without intimidation or too much intensity.

Depends on who you are dealing with....a mature man will tell you straight up that he either likes you back or does not reciprocate. An immature man feels intimidated, replies with something vague and non-committal.

I don't think there are any rules when you get older about these kind of things. Most people by mid twenties and up just kind of go based on what feels right. Plus, I think sometimes it is better to say then to wait awhile for something that is not going to happen.

You can always ask him out for coffee.

It's not too direct and will probably get the message across.

I think sometimes it is better not to worry about these things too much, because in order to be happy with a person, he/she must tolerate your quirks. Maybe it would be better to be rejected if he doesn't like you doing what feels natural to you.

We have Asperger's right? We ALWAYS tell people if we like them, in fact if we're being honest we tell people exactly how we feel all the time down to the nearest synapse.

PFFFFF- What?! Well if the man in question reaaallly would think like this, I'd say he's not worth your time!

Just go for it! Maybe hint it out in a casual way~

Yes. I am all for saying what one feels. Even though I get berated for it at times. Good luck :)

I don't understand this. From what I've learned, asking someone out for coffee is unambiguously interpreted as:
"I like you and I want to figure out the chances for a relationship."
In what respect is it different from saying this to the other person's face?

Love that name. Peaceful. Tranquil.

Well, to know whether you should tell him or not I'd need far more context, but there are situations where taking the initiative would be desirable.

It's just words used. Depending on the person, just outright saying you like them can sometimes come off as desperate. But hinting at it doesn't. It's hard to explain why not. I'll let someone else try to explain that. Asking someone out for coffee though can be interpreted as just a friendly gesture most of the time though.

I know I'd prefer being told outright, since I've gotten rejected so many times that I can never tell if girls like me or not.

The things you regret most are the things you didn't do. And the worst feeling in the world is knowing that things could have been different & better if only you'd said something.

So go get him!
