How naive...

So what if she did say something it is still assault to handle someone against their will.

Slow down there, I never said anything excused the fact! Even if she ranted and raved like someone who escaped from an asylum, being punched was still a crime. Even if it was some baloney to get out of a large cab bill, it's still a crime. Even if she was committing a crime herself (I don't think she did) there's STILL no excuse for someone to also commit a crime.

I hope she managed to get a license plate number or something... talk to the media... go to the police station to make a report about the cabbie AND the cops on patrol in that area... gad - something!

I do understand it was light hearted, though sometime when people say thing like "but not how id like!! !", it doesn't mean that they would now be interested because it wasn't how they wanted it, or it would be significant fact right now. It is basically a turn of phrase, that is used to denote something similarly named, but not at all wanted ever.

It is not that she might not be interested in an offer ever, just it is kind of a bit lame and presumptuous to suggest that at this time. That is all. If it you don't mean it, then bygones.

I do understand the context of this discussion and the title might cause confusion.

No, it was related to bluerose... there's a thread slightly down (Now locked) titled " any women desperately want to get hit on but never do? " and the first two words on that thread are

GAWD THERE WAS AN OFFICER INVOLVED WHO LAUGHED AT ME BECUZ MY EYEBROW WAS CRACKED OPEN AND BLEEDING AND MY EYE WAS ALL SWOLLEN SO I COULD BARELY SEE.

THEN HE SAID ITS NONE OF HIS BUSINESS TOLD ME TO SHUT UP OR THREATENED ARREST IF I DIDNT PAY WHATEVER THE GUY ASKED.

BASICALLY THEY WANTED TO GET RID OF ME. IF I WAS HOT THEY WOULDVE PAID *** ATTENTION TO THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY. I WANTED TO FILE A REPORT FOR ASSAULT BUT COULDN'T.

I'm sorry for coming across as overly harsh... I don't express myself as effectively when dead tired.

I seriously think it's time to post a picture (or share it with someone privately) so we can lay this whole "ugly" thing to rest. This certainly isn't the first time someone thought themselves as ugly when they certainly weren't!

Heck... I have those same conflicting thoughts myself.

You have to realize, in Russia and the Baltics/Eastern Europe, the situation is reversed. I know you have your men's rights perspective, which I think is honestly quite valid in USA. However, in Eastern Europe, from what I understand, basically things are reversed. Russia doesn't even have a domestic violence law. There's 10K domestic violence murders per year in Russia. That's USA's entire total murders for a year (and most of those murders are stupid gang shootings and whatnot, only like 10% are DV related.) So yeah, go to Russia as a man, you got it made. As a woman, not so much. That's partially why Russian mail order brides come to America. Even in the American man is a "nice guy" or whatever, he's likely not to be a flaming alcoholic or beat her.

So yes, imagine Eastern Europe as the opposite extreme as America, and there you go. Sometimes bad s**t happens. There is no "other side" of the story. Sometimes people ARE just bad, and lie to get other people in trouble simply because they can.

exactly, 1000knives.

which is why i guess western women are puzzled why im so obsessed with not getting men and love and whatever its because over here you NEED MEN TO PROTECT YOU FROM OTHER MEN. the police dont do s**** for you unless they want to f you.
when you're an uglier woman you someone could basically drag you out of your house, rape you and try to kill you and the cops would yawn or laugh in your face and tell you you should be grateful.

security guards in clubs do that to me all the time when i get groped or whatever.

Then I wish the feminists would fight for rights OVER THERE - where it's actually needed!

I find it almost hard to believe your countrymen could be so.... inhuman! :pale:

most women here would laugh at that. we have equal employment, domstic violence laws, feminist minister. ON THE SURFACE everything is fine.

this has nothing to do with politics but HUMAN BEHAVIOUR.

i meet it all the time, because the men here only see women that are hot to them as human, or the ones that have boyfriends etc. that are attractive enough to have boyfriends whod beat the cab driver up.

the difference between how they treat my friends and how they treat me is night and day deffo. sure, my friend got groped too, must milder than i do btw, first the security guard coddled her, then her boyfriend and she got to press charges.

i cant even get the security guard to stop it when someone ive never even spoken to before is groping me forcefully right in front of him, pushing me around and grinding on me. they both considered it amusing.

and no the security guard had no bone to pick with me and had never met me before.

all security guards are *** to me. and none of them have a problem with any of my friends.

and YES I AM FRIENDLY ALL THE TIME AND SUBDUED AND QUIET AND SMILING BECAUSE OTHERWISE I WOULD'VE PROBS BEEN RAPED AND KILLED BY THE COPS HERE A LONG TIME AGO.

Appearance discrimination has nothing to do with feminism and gender.

he btw asked for double the bill he shouldve and had no taxi meter or receipt becuz the cab is usually cheaper by A LOT and i refused to pay becuz it was fraud and he punched me in the face, dragged me to the cops and told them i wouldnt pay and i explained the money was too much but the male cop laughed at me and didnt care that its ILLEGAL to DRIVE A CAB WITH NO METER AND ASK FOR A HIGHER PRICE THAN IT SAYS ON THE WINDOW AND THE CUSTOMER HAS A RIGHT NOT TO PAY THEN.

but the cops dont care for laws if its an ugly girl :)

This is why I don't go out much (also live in baltic country). If someone assaults you the police doesn't do anything because it's normal here.

It's hard finding a happy middle country. In the Russia/Baltics/Eastern Europe it's pretty much lawless and like the 1800s. In USA you get arrested for everything and there's drones flying around.

As more details come in, I see that now...

I still think we need a pic to determine if this is a case of genuine ugliness or a perception issue.

At the gym, I often notice male instructors help the hot girls more than anyone else.

I can write a whole article about discrimination by looks.
