 Oh my, you remember that detail.

Nope, she's not a clan. She lives in Canada actually but she often comes to here (her native country).

I think she is partly self-made but at mid 20s, I highly doubt she started from scratch.

If that somehow happened to me, I'd sort of try to earn the money.

This kind of thing can happen to creative people like painters. Their spouse is their patron. If a rich woman spends money on a previously low income husband who in turn creates great Artworks or Inventions, in a way that brings a kind of prestige to the couple. The husband, while supported, could create a different kind of wealth or value that is hard to measure in bank balance sheets.

Yeah, and the painter would also feeling he's achieving things equaling her financial achievements (in case she's self made), it wouldn't harm much whatever male ego he has - a something to consider hence why I named this thread like this.

But I am no painter.

So are you afraid that you will end up a seasonal boyfriend that goes along with her seasonal cars? Almost sounds like a gigolo thing. Maybe if you can benefit from this by getting a good contract, that if things goes pear shaped, that you are protected and not sitting with massive debt with regards to the house.

It's still too early to worry about anything right now, but the question crossed my head hence the thread.

That actually is the case for every girl I ever dated in college. They all had more money than me. Heck, I did not even own a car until after I graduated & worked my butt of in Fast Food (Yuck! NEVER AGAIN) until I bought a beat up Chevy.
I always worried that women looked down on me..
I also killed the best relationship worrying over this very issue.
Only advice I can give, is just ignore it and concentrate on the girl.

Sincerely,
Matthew

I can remember ruling out woman from wealthy families. I did not want to be under pressure to maintain her lifestyle after marraige not being judged by her dad.
