ive never attended speed dating, but i assume bonding over common fandoms and interests would help to win the girls over. there has to be some basis for a fun and rewarding relationship, so if you dont really click in that aspect i doubt youd be getting numbers. cosplayers might have an advantage too, as theyre usually seen as more interesting at conventions. its not necessarily quite as looks-oriented as you think.
