Dating as an INTJ Aspie= Super hard mode!

I'm NT and have usually tested as INTJ. This thread has really helped me understand how I attracted and became attracted to an Aspie. Things are crap now as since we had a child his expectations and mine have changed and he's not handled those changes well.

I have a good aspie friend, and the two of us are both INTP aspies. I personally have been romantically into at least one INTJ that I know of, who was Neurotypical. So it certainly isn't unheard of if I were to date that girl, I think the main issue would be that we are both very stubborn, depending on the topic at hand. And although we have a lot of common ground in being deep thinkers and very articulate and philosophical... we differ quite a bit with how far to take some of the borderline obsessive discussions that we have. We both enjoy them, certainly, but I will continue a train of thought and keep enjoying it a lot longer, whereas she will be a lot quicker to want to get down to the nuts and bolts of actually APPLYING some of our conclusions (heaven knows why THAT should matter haha).

But by and large, I think there are all sorts of people that would appreciate a romance with an INTJ... so don't give up and keep a weather eye on the horizon

I tend to stay withdrawn from most people and dont like working in groups or get too involved socially it would be a shocker to find someone interested in someone like that.

Yeah, it will be tough, I'm sure. But I still think there are actually plenty of people interested in someone who is generally anti-social and pretty independent. Those are things that I definitely like, because when I'm dating that kind of girl it means I don't have to pretend to be social myself. But the tough part in my opinion would be actually finding those people, because being anti social will also make them hard to find. Or in your case, it will make YOU hard to find for the people that are looking. But again, that's all just my own experience.
