Hello, magnificent people!

It has been my experience that almost all of the women in my area and of my age have had their brains devoured by their ovaries, and that they want to hatch offspring as soon as possible. Do you magnificent women also want to have a bunch of kids? Or are you happy with life without kids?

I currently do not want kids, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

They would do a great favor if they let the AS genes go extinct.

Please, aspie ladies, earth population is too crowded already.

I actually believe that my genes would be an asset to future generations. I'm smarter than most everybody I know, and also believe I need to use that to make the world a better place. We need more smart altruists.

The catch is that raising kids sounds like hell. Some of my friends tell me it is worth it, usually with huge bags under their eyes and looking like they're about to break down from exhaustion and despair. I don't quite believe them.

Sorry. We can't hear you over the gnashing of our ravenous ovaries.

:geek:

OP, you need to add "who already has children?".

No, those who already have kids are too far gone. It is too late to save them :p

I also want to clarify that I don't mean to dig on women - young men my age are almost as likely to suffer from this peculiar type of madness :p

I'm afraid if I had kids I'd actually start looking like Grumpy Cat - bags under my eyes and a pissed off look.

This is an interesting point actually. I mean, if Aspergers really is primarily a genetic condition, the primary transmitters for the condition have to be women, they just have to be. Most aspie guys can't even find a mate, let alone procreate.

I wouldn't promote for something inhuman but.... :P

hey, we all know that all of you aspie ladies will eventually get boyfriends/husbands, including the most whining ones among will get one, like this member **cough** Sweet***leaf***got a (extrovert) boyfriend recently, and there was this . **cough**goofysomething**cough** who got 2 boyfriends so far since her last rant.

I am totally fine with that but if you are childless already, please stay so!! Adopting some orphan refugee child would be a greater contribution for humanity, they are everywhere.

At least, you shouldn't have aspie boys. :P

Umm...btw how hard is it to determine fetus gender before the medically allowed time for abortion?

Yes, that exactly was my point.

There are even papers that show how null (close to 0%) the number of married autistic men are; numbers don't lie. AS and AS traits are certainly a great evolutionary disadvantage only for males.

Preach. You'd be doing them a favor too. Trust me, few days go by where I don't wish my parents had aborted my worthless ass.

That's a good point. Also, the opposite is probably true for guys with personality-disorders such as ASPD or NPD. Being a "womanizer" is often a trait of those disorders, and they're supposedly hereditary as well. :?

I'm sure you're half kidding man but might wanna be careful, as not all of us view autism as the plague. I'm learning to love myself for it, despite the hardships. I don't really feel the need to have a child though, seems like a ton of work and stress that I'm not really ready for. That might change though, who knows....

I wouldn't be so sure. In my immediate family there are 3 of us guys on the spectrum and one girl. Out of my 3 siblings only one isn't on the spectrum. One of the guys, being my dad, and his swimmers obviously had no problems finishing the race....lol My sister already popped one out too, and she is also on the spectrum.

There are many parents here who are on the Spectrum.

I used to think I never wanted children, but I was imagining having them with the wrong gender. I'm open-minded to it in the future.

Still, I'm not bothered by the lack of them currently. I certainly don't feel any pressure to have them before it's "too late". If that happens, well, then that's that, isn't it? There are other meaningful ways to impact the world and other people to love. It's not something I think about, but there's also a lot going on right now that feels more pressing.
