I lived in a very conservative town till I moved in with my girlfriend. I met her online on this forum & I moved from Louisiana to Vermont to be with her. I'm a big Bernie Sanders supporter NOT because I live in Burlington Vermont where he used to be mayor but because our political beliefs really align

Can you make a suggestion on how to meet women here on this forum?

"I'm in Mildura... Ice use & family violence seem to be major roadblocks for the town at the moment. I actually don't think it's possible to find a decent partner here at my age. The good ones are married with kids by about 25."

I won't reveal my location but I'll hint it...

Capital of the darling downs region, mountain-top small city located in south east QLD.

West of brisbane, southeast of Dalby.

My city is surrounded by small towns and villages in all directions such as Gatton, Warwick, Ipswich, etc.

But it's no different than any of these places. It IS a town, it's just a large one with more shops and bars essentially and significantly larger population.

It has all the negatives of both cities and towns without having any of the positives of either.

"
Most of the world is like that actually... except perhaps for Russia..."

Why do you like Russia? Just curious...

"OMG, that would (literally) be like a dream coming true for me!"

In theory it sounds nice, but the difference between you and I is I am young, and, possibly more social and outgoing than you.

The small town would be a lot of hardwork in the first few years but once an economy is running my family would be making decent cash.

We'd live in a house rent-free and the 11 tennants already living there would be paying us rent weekly.

We would technically function as the mayors, council and otherwise own the town entirely and it is up to us to generate the economy.

I'm young, and moving to a small isolated town in the middle of nowhere isn't the best idea for me, especially since I don't have many nearby friends and want to meet new people and a possible girlfriend. The nearest town is quite a drive and I still don't have my full license (only learner's).

Maybe if my family starts to generate a decent amount of money I'll overtime be able to afford to move to the big city easier.

I'd help out with running the shops and such and that would supplement my already existing income.

"Sounds like my town. I went to school with pretty much everybody in my age group in my town. There is nobody for me to date and making friends is really hard."

Exactly. It's a terrible feeling.

I used to live in a small town and my entire grade consisted of 1 class worth of students (about 28).

THAT was my entire potential dating pool throughout high school.

Assuming the next grade up and next grade down also had estimated 28 people, that's a total of 84 people. Estimated 50% are female and that's 42.

Imagine if you've met all 42 people of the opposite sex in town your age or one or two years older or younger and weren't compatible with any of them...you've essentially met every potential single in town and will have to continue adjusting the age range you can date.

I made LOTS of post about what I wanted in a partner & a relationship, & what I had to offer a partner like what I'd do within a relationship to try & pull my weight. I'm pretty unique with these things but my girlfriend is pretty unique too.

The extremely small minority that have ever had relationships also tend to be long-distance, so you'll have to deal with that.

Aside from nick007, I know of at least 5 users in total to have been in an LDR with another member of this site, and possibly 2 more...

That's it...

Considering the sheer size of this website along with it being created over a decade ago, your chances are statistically impossibly low.
