I love him.

He said I was his marshmallow.

"Because I'm fat and pasty white?" I asked sarcastically.

"No, because you're sweet and fluffy. You're so comfy to lay on."

"Fluffy is just another word for fat" I teased.

He stuck his tongue out at my silliness and said a bunch of mushy things.

The next day we went on a long drive in his a/c-less car and it was very hot and sunny. I got overheated and sunburned.

I guess I'm his toasted marshmallow now.

This can't help but remind me of the past, it's regretful tone of my own regrets not getting to know you better while we had the chance, my dreams of what I wish we could be, and what I truly am (lost and disillusioned).
