Hey everybody

Single and alone this valentine's day? Don't fret, so are a lot of us!
I believe that a little humility once in a while is a good thing and this is the thread just for it.

Post your videos, forever alones, or whatever!
And remember, love stinks

To be honest I've never felt any pressure about being single during Valentine's Day since where I come from it's mostly about celebrating having friends, not that special someone. When I was a kid everyone gave their friends Valentine's Day cards in school, too. I don't know if kids these days do that, though.

So, if you're single you can celebrate with your single friends.

Meh... I just need to stop working so damn hard and give meetup groups a few more tries.

Only after failing that would I consider sinking $$ into designing and building my very own custom lovebot.

Most of my life has been single during Valentine's day, but I refuse to be bitter about it. I am happy for all those in love that get to celebrate it today. Maybe it is commercialized, but I don't see the harm in reminding lovers to reaffirm their bonds for one another.

This is really more-so how I look at this day; it's not limited to so-called couples or exclusive-relationships;
send a greeting (and/or) card to your buddies, your brothers and sisters, and even if you're an isolated only child like myself, you can even send a Valentine-Greetings (and/or) card to whole entire groups of people !

Why, I even though up something amusing, and that is to make a Valentine's Card/Greeting that you then print out from a Laser-Printer on Stock-Paper (or cardboard-paper or whichever kind of paper it is that has the same thickness of your typical greeting card that you might get from a store), make hundreds of copies, then go about walking through anywhere with lots of business(es), hand them to all of the workers/store-owners/managers/etc.

Valentine's Day is bull. Just like Halloween. A day to make money off of candy and flowers.

Only holidays that matter are Thanksgiving , Christmas and Easter. FAMILY TIME. Religious time. FORGET THE COMMERCIAL !

I accidentally forgot what day it was and might have interrupted a date by texting them. I've never celebrated Valentine's Day, so I always forget about timing my messages around then.
