A co worker who works in completely different departments than mine has been friendly and going out of his way to talk to me.At first i didn’t think much out of it until he gave me his number to text him if i want .I’m interested so i was flattered. Him and I have been texting here and there but i now notice that he only text when he is at work whenever we work opposite shifts. He usually just sents a generic good morning text and we exchanged few texts..but then after he gets off work and weekends he aburuptly stop responding   or sents a good night text –then drops off the face of earth untill the next day during his work hours.Even then he doesn’t seem like much of texter.Whenever i see him at work his face lights up and always want to be around me.I’m beginning to get concerned that he might be married or already has a live in gf.We are still in the early stages of talking so maybe he is just not much of texter?Would he give his number out if he was already involved

Why don't you try asking him out or hinting that he should ask you out if you're interested?

Sounds like he has an alternate life that consumes his time - which does not support the concept of "dating or love". You'll need to talk with him and ask him directly, all speculation until you actually talk with him.

It just sounds like he isn't a good texter.

Possibly, though in this case his behavior patterns regarding the texting are more telling than the actual texts.

Maybe he's not much of a texter & asked for the number cuz getting the number is the 1st step to starting a relationship but he doesn't know how to try & take it to the next step.
