Most women prefer guys about 2-5 inches taller.

I'm about the average height for a woman.

Preference doesn't mean actuality. I would love to sleep with Condoleeza Rice---but it ain't happening.

I find many so-called "average women" absolutely delightful, not my preference---but so what?

It's the reverse for me: I would prefer a guy who didn't tower over my 5"1 frame. But then, I'm asexual so I don't plan on being too picky as my dating pool is going to be tiny to begin with. As long as we're compatible personality-wise and want the same things out of a relationship, he could be a midget for all I cared.

I really have no interest in discussing this topic any further, so I'm out.

Im not a chick but am a guy who is 6'6. Based on my experiences I can say girls def dig tall guys. All the time I get chicks who are into me just because my height although being goodlooking and having a bomb man bun doesnt hurt lml.

6’3” and I don’t get any women into me. My height doesn’t have women chasing me around trying to date me. Which adds to my I’m not tall for my area conclusion.

If I was tall and women were really into tall guys I should be getting dates. Or messages but I don’t.

Kraftie, I always see you repeating this narrative, I think you're in sort of denial and delusion in that matter, while it may be true it doesn't convince women to not dismiss guys shorter than them; also there's the false common belief that tallness and dick size are correlated.

Other than the instinct reason and sexual reasons, do you know what's the reason#1 that women want guys taller than them beyond their heels? People's gossip.

I found out that a lot of women do not like to walk side by side with a shorter guy because they're afraid that their acquaintances/friends would judge them as desperate and mock them behind their back (ie "Angie is dating a midget, haha, what a stupid, what she sees in him?") .

I noticed that in the way of some taller women who walked besides me (taller whether due to heels or their natural height, it doesn't matter) - a very noticeable body-language and facial expression occur in them: They constantly look left and right all the time + facial expression of embarrassment and nervousness + they often trying to walk in non-sychronized pace like walking faster or slower than me to avoid parallel walking; walking too fast and when i catch up they walk much slower, I walk slower to match their speed again,then they walk fast again .
- all this is saying "Omg, I hope no one of my friends will see me with him here". Besides they never hold hands and or any of that sort. This happened over and over again.

I recall only one date who is significantly taller than me who didn't exhibit this laughable and extremely rude behavior, a foreigner (African British).

This is something that I have never seen in shorter girls, so it can't be just a coincidence.

So Kraftie, what happens before the bed phase is the problem, and you won't reach the bed phase when that happens.

You have a point, except Western countries aren't the only ones with the single problem. As far as I know, China has it too because of the lack of women. You know, actual lack of women since women are seen as less worthy and girls often get aborted or abandoned right after birth because people want a son instead of a daughter and the one child -rule (that is not as strict anymore if I've understood correctly) stops them from having both, so they think that a son is better because he will provide for them when he grows up and simply is more valuable just because he's a boy. Not that I'm saying that all Chinese think this way, but the lack of women proves that some do even in this day and age... and I recall reading that some other countries, or at least some other areas, where women are automatically seen as less worthy than men have this problem, too.

When I talked about "earth" I included the plants and other life forms on it as a whole; I didn't mean just the planet itself. Of course humans can't destroy the actual planet, but its ecosystem and other life forms it can and that's no good.

It was a reality that a son in China would provide the family while a daughter wouldn’t (because she will be married) - not defending the practice but the idea that having a 1 daughter only would make the parents end up old without any financial support was a fear based on reality.

Girls don't care about height. I've seen examples of men who were shorter than the girlfriend or slightly taller.

Height's a lot easier to quantify than weight.

Weight depends on height, body type, ect. And I would actually prefer it if men were more specific about what actually constitutes "fatness." To some men, a few pounds overweight is "fat," while, to others, "fat" means morbidly obese. I appreciate guys like ClosetGenious who at least specify "healthy-weight women."

But a daughter could take care of her parents just as well as a son could if the culture didn't make society treat girls as less worthy and make them think that a woman is only an object that goes from a man (her father) to another (her husband.) This kind of thing happened because sometime way in the past some idiot decided that hey, let's start treating girls and women as lower beings compared to men. That probably came from the fact that women are physically weaker than men most of the time and that they actually needed to stay at home to feed children (since it was impossible for men), but they messed up with the part where they made it in to a thing that someone's worth automatically debended on the fact of what's between their legs. And some cultures still do things that way.

But we're getting seriously off topic here so we should probably stop.

(Btw the narrative that claims that we were matriarchal is false and not backdd btw science - all scientific studies today show that we were always patriarchal and violent, like common chimps and gorillas; NOT like the bonobos).

I imagine being with a man about 6', in reality, though I have fancied men who have been between 5'5'' and 6'4''. I'm 5'6'' so my preference is for taller than me but it wouldn't be an issue unless it was extreme. Then it might be an issue, I'm not sure the extent to which it would lead me to not find someone attractive.
