 Thanks, social darwinism is nasty & I like when mods delete it.

Capital! If everyone carries their own, that must mean there's an app for that.

It's a terrible, awful, lazy & conceited way to relate to others. I'm here making jokes about it because I think applying one's arbitrary rating system(s) to living human beings is a sick joke in itself. Why would anyone compel themselves to seek validation by manufacturing proof of their superiority over someone else they've typecast as inferior? Doesn't that just imply that inferiority is the entire basis for comparison? It strikes me as holding everyone to a low standard even though it manifests as criticism. If someone feels a need to take me down a notch just because I said we're equals, I don't even get why they're allowed on a forum like this.

People deserve better than that noise.

i only find the logistic problems in your proposal - how big should the pedestal be if we should put everyone on it?

what material should we use that is to sustain the weight? graphene perhaps?

If I shouldn't put my happily imperfect people up on the nice little pedestals I make for them, can I at least put pretty neon signs over their heads that say they are awesome? Pretty please?

I think earth is already heavy enough & we don't want to upset its' 23.5 degree axis with a bunch of elaborate stones so maybe we could just use virtual reality goggles & 3D displays. Being that this thread is about shaking us out of our constrained, stuffy & overused ways of thinking, we wouldn't even need to put all those virtual rocks in the same dimension.

I shouldn't have had to get stoned to realize that imaginary rocks are not an acceptable means of socialization. Those who throw rocks also live in glass houses. There are no opaque houses anyway, most of you reading this signed your existence away to Facebook without a second thought. If anybody needs me, I'll be in the nerf dart fight in my imaginary cabin.

It's kind of like how I don't want to assign too much value to shiny things because it feels like devaluing reality by contrast.

i signed my existence away to Facebook because the people I love are on there.
If that makes me some kind of idiot, I'm an idiot.

Tell me an alternative.

Use everything else because they're data mining everyone you love & selling anything they can behind closed doors without paying anyone but themselves. Content farms are also a gross overuse of server datacenters, one of the largest industrial polluters.

If that's not screwed up enough, they helped elect Trump.

My interest is software that helps people build things, not software that helps people attack each other.

I'm sure you'll be able to google up better ones for your purposes, thus supporting someone's local

As well you should! I think yours is another version of my original idea, technology should be cool to people, instead it's just built to distract us from each other.
