Love is hard to define!

I have one true love (i think) but I have also lovers that I am found of but I don't have the same relationship to. I also love my dead classmate who died in cancer and nature experiences like fishing. I also love Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Einstürzende Neubauten, David Guetta, Laibach, Vivaldi, Mozart....

So what is love?

Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me no more.

I just had to say that.

Knowing the typical Internet user, my definition of love is probably not that widely shared, but here it is:

The apostle Paul wrote:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Now then, to answer the original topic: I've crushed on too many girls to count. It's never been fun, especially if she turned me down. I would definitely like to find someone who likes me first (not to say that's never happened; after my high school's graduation ceremony the year after I got my diploma, one of the new graduates, whom I had been friends with for years, told me she had had feelings for me for some time before getting over me). Suggestions?

All depends on what you mean by fails.
Human love certainly is not able to withstand
all challenges, all the time.

Either that, or we can never know love.

Love is as friendship. You can't define it but my kids gave me a realy good explanation of how it feels. "You can't be without her and whenever she's near you you can't speak". This was a mutual agreement from my two male kids, one AS/ADHD and one Authistic/ADHD. It's like the fact I still love my ex in someways and somewhat and she's my best friend.

Someone you feel you can't live without, when you go into a room you are looking for them, you think about them just about all the time.
