It doesn't hurt to enquire, right?
At least it would put the issue to bed, errr, so to speak.

It doesn't hurt.

But the issue is f****d now, err, not in the way the OP desires.

We didn't talk that much over teams the last few months but is still very touchy feely when we are around each other. If we are alone together in the office we can talk for hours about anything.

She would initiate messages on Instagram asking when I'm in the office.

She seems to appear from nowhere when I get off the tube and get a coffee outside the tube station and sneak up behind me.

I'm unsure about whether she is still dating the other guy in Sales although today he was asking me where she was.

I want to tell her I like her I like her and ask her out but I cannot find the words to.

This hasn't been a normal year with most of it spent at home. Obviously as an aspie I struggle with dating and relationships and am genuinely looking for advice.

Ask her out for lunch already!

If you talk for hours, you can certainly talk over lunch!

We have had lunch together all the time with other colleagues for the time I have worked there. Although have been at home from December to April.

That can easily be translated to lunch with only the two of you.

What would be the best message to send over teams?
I have a bar booking for a few days time.
I will not see her for a few days in person and its hard to ask as there are always people around.

I'd have to know the "layout" in order to really give you suitable advice.

If you already have her personal phone number, you could ask her out through texting (but with your personal phone, not your business phone).

I have her number through a WhatsApp group chat but mainly talk on Instagram messages or Teams messages on work laptop

Nope. I wouldn’t ask her out on any work-related media.

It would be nice if you could ask her to lunch in person. Away from everyone else.

I would advise against the immediately above within a working environment.

He can get in trouble for doing this.

wait so she's allowed to be "touchy feely" (his words) but he cannot?

I'd act on it.

She sounds like she's easygoing so I'd pick casual activities with her rather than favoring formal dating.

Yeah, workplace stuff isn't ideal, but if you feel good about it then by all means. If you two are comfortable speaking frank then it's worth getting an understanding of the situation with the other guy.

Yep....that's the reality.

He can get in more trouble than she can, most likely.

That's the reality.

He's an accountant. He needs to earn a living. Doing something to make a point can be really stupid.
