There isn’t any rhyme or reason to all of this and why we were singled out for Autism when there are so many f***ing idiots out there with nothing wrong with them is beyond me.
Autism has made me work harder to achieve the things that others take for granted. It means I am different from the rest in nearly everything I do.

For that I am truly thankful as who the f**k wants to run with the crowd when you can lead the crowd.

Autism is a GIFT if you let it

What say you?

I don't see it as a gift, as a gift would mean something on top of "normality", , i.e. the good points of autism on an NT mind, and we don't have "normality" to begin with

I merely see it as a different way of living, looking at, and communicating in the world.

Indeed, I am thankful I feel so outa place at work, im by far the most intelligent, the only person who went to collage, and I work with a decent amount of people, at least that group that does the specific tasks I do, not sure about the other 100+ employees.

God has both blessed and cursed me, Im smart, and fiscally responsible, and know what I want in life, many MANY others are not as fortunate in that regard.

However, my life has been difficult as far as dealing with others, I have come along way, but I realize itll always be hard, I have auditory processing issues so I appear to be stupid (as far as following directions, even simple ones) and get alot of crap at work for it. I have trouble with the ladies (tho getting better) and I realize I will have less and less friends as time goes on (i met all my friends in high school and collage, now I dont attend school anymore.

I hope God has a plan... for all of us.

I have had more fingers on one hand than I have had friends at any one point in my life.
When I was younger this worried me but now I am older i realise that this is a good thing as the friends i have a special.

Autism, you can be a victim to it or recognise the fact it’s a gift.
Don’t get me wrong on the turn of the coin it’s a curse we all know that but surly that comes back to cup half empty or cup half full. It doesn’t change what is in the cup but half full is a much better way to look at it.

Pretty much everyone has some kind of short comings(Except this one girl that I knew in high school).

With Asperger's, it's with talking to other people and social cues.

With a lot of "NT's" in college, it's mainly just them being really really dumb but having a lto of fun at the same time.

So, it isn't like people are perfect. It never works that way, someone always has some kind of hangup with the exception of the one girl who I kinda don't like.

Ok, what I say: I love my autism! Think of it as being a mutant hybrid. Genetically evolved. Somehow, evolution is creating our super brains, weeding out the NT's. The world is still designed for the NT's, though, we just need to design new systems and methods for learning. Imagine a whole group of students that are "self taught?" Would we need teachers in that instance, if one of us can just sit down and do it without help? I theorize, 100 years from now, people will be looking back in hystory and saying....remember when the superbrains first started to mutate? How everyone thought there was something wrong with those people? And eventually the NT's started to become more extinct. Then, during breeding processes, the rare chance that someone like us would produce an NT offspring, what would the neighbor's think?

calandale made it all clear! Our superbrains are in our asses. Our heads couldn't contain our brains as they became super so they migrated down into our big fat asses. Next time you sit down to take a crap be careful not to crap out your brains.

That's a good way to put it, and it's the way I feel as well. It's a blessing and a curse.

Not crap. Though, I think it's less
about ignorance and intelligence than
about self reflection.

I'd settle for happy, but I would take them both if it's a package deal.

To those who are undiagnosed how the hell you can be sure you have AS is beyond me though it’s not to say you do not have it.

To those who are diagnosed AS and believe their brains are in their arses, I would agree with you your brains are in your arses.

To those diagnosed AS and believe that in many ways we are NT but with some added extras i.e. on the verge of, if not actually gifted with super-brains then I full heartedly agree with you. We are gifted in many ways though this unfortunately doesn’t always fit in with the majority of the ignorant general public.

Hans Asperger described his young patients in the 1940s as “little professors”
Were his brains in his arse as well????
