He was already freaking me out by loitering around me all the time even though I was trying to avoid him. When I mentioned I like long-distance running there (during the day ffs!! !) he sprung that on me.

I would never go there after dark, much less with a rando I don't know who's never shown any interest in running before (and I truly hate having to run and slow down for a non-runner).

Although if he had tried to murder me I definitely could have outrun him lol.

Hey, well if you are as old as you look in your profile then that's not so bad at all! That's better than many teens and twenty-somethings I know. Slow running is better than no running, if you are running each week at all you're already doing better than most people :)
