Yes. Every time. To all women. No exceptions.

If by "ruthless" you mean "won't take no for an answer", this is just women taking the easy option. In case you haven't noticed, women go to great lengths to avoid the possibility of having been rejected. The nice guy who takes no for an answer leaves them in a limbo, requiring a response from them, and women really don't like to make that sort of commitment.

An example: the first girl I ever tried to chat up told me to clear off and leave her alone, which I did. Throuought the rest of the class, I notice her glancing at me, but I thought nothing of it at the time, being quite oblivious, back then, to anything involving non verbal communication. It was more than a decade later, having become more adept at reading facial expressions, that I realised that, at first, she looked at me expectantly (yes, she expected me to try again, no doubt having been indoctrinated by her mother to this effect; if they don't try again, they are not really interested...). She then started to look puzzled, which then turned to anger (as I'd done what she(d asked; don't expect consistency from women). It follows that women mostly get to know those men who keep trying until they succeed, and come to believe most men are like that, and so the intial mistake reinforces itself...

Not law of the land, it's a law of a sick society built on centuries of normalised
exploitation.

In a healthy society people would not hurt people to gain "success" which is usually material wealth
which itself is pretty meaningless outside of the social structure.

For me, personally, not a bit. Kindness is beautiful to me. A man who mows the grass for an elderly or disabled neighbor, or shovels snow for them, without being asked or expected to, but only does it because they think it would be NICE to do, because they genuinely care about the other person, makes my heart swell.

I am obviously not "typical", and not at all neurotypical, so I'm not sure how useful this is. I don't know if NT people who are attracted to masculinity agree.

If I see someone take advantage of another person or do something to hurt another person, I probably will never be able to overcome that. If I see someone step on others to get further ahead, they immediately lose any interest they may have once had.

I am somebody who likes to think of myself as being kind and polite, doing things like giving up a seat or a bench for someone else like an elder, and opening a door for a lady or allowing her to go first before me.

But I sometimes think is that one of the reasons I haven't met someone and also think to myself that some women are attracted to guys who are more stern and ruthless than me. When I say ruthless, I don't really mean lacking compassion or pity for others, I mean men who will get angry when they want what they want or get their way as though it will make progress in life or some guys come across as a bit gangsterish and thinks it's okay to use force when necessary even in front of women. I seem to think I see that with teenagers in groups. I makes me sometimes feel like I'm a "Muppet" when I see these people. I don't really think I want to be a ruthless person. I can get angry sometimes but I don't want to come across that way all the time otherwise I seem to think that is not attractive to people.

Just be yourself. For sure, there are women out there right now thinking to themselves, "sure wish I could meet someone nice..."

I doubt that very many are thinking, "What I really want is a mean, crude and rude ogre to boss me around."

So, you don't think the pictures of me with a club, wearing animal skins are the best for my dating profile?

Replace ruthless with confident and the answer would be yes. Don’t be a “nice” guy.

My hair could use a washing, but thankfully I'm not especially hairy by male standards.

You might actually get more responses, due to curiosity. :)

Many women are attracted to nice guys. These threads all always rather generalizing. Different women like different things.
