Are autistic women attracted to men differently?

Compared to neurotypical women, that is.

Specifically, are you expected to meet certain tangible benchmarks (e.g. looks, wealth) instead of 'knowing the game', which is most important with NT women?

Do the female users of these forums look for shared qualities and behaviours in men they are attracted to?

Not all NT women are attracted to men the same way and neither are autistic women. With that being said, more of us belong to the LGBTQ+ community. There are a fair amount of demisexuals here. Still, our preferences seem to be as diverse as any other demographic of people if not more so because some of us don’t worry as much about adhering to social norms.

As an autistic woman, Yes I'm most attracted to men who have a similar way of thinking as I do, things like being self-aware, self-reflective, serious but with a silly side too, intelligent, thoughtful, and someone who pays attention to detail. These traits make me feel understood, seen, and comfortable being myself. I value depth, not performance.
