Being a college student now, I can say with 100% confidence that I have absolutely no urge to have a 'friend with benefits'. I personally find the idea of it rather shallow, disgusting, and a cop-out for not wanting to put out the work to actually have a meaningful relationship. Not only that, I feel like going down the 'friends with benefits' route is a step backwards for humankind. Maybe it's just me, but as beings (humans) with higher intellect, Aspie or not, I feel like we should be able to channel our base instincts into something more productive that won't have long-term consequences for us in the future.
And yes, believe or not, there is the possibility that joining in the whole 'friends with benefits' will bite you in the ass 10 - 20 years down the road when you're finally ready to be in a committed relationship, especially when it comes down to the self-disclosure process. There are men and women out there who frown upon 'friends with benefits' and will drop a potential partner like a hot s**t sandwich if they know their partner did engage in 'FWB' activities in the past.
There are consequences for every action we take, and this is no exception. Ultimately, I know people are going to do what they want, and it doesn't bother me as long they're not bothering me. However, I do want people to be aware that engaging in what I believe to be risky, reckless behavior will come back to haunt them in most cases.
