when a girl tells you : "u're not such a bad guy after all (<-- with a smile)" ...what the hell this is supposed to mean?

Hm, difficult to tell. If it were me that were saying it, it would probably be in a sort of teasing way, telling the person that I'm starting to warm up to them. As for what this girl meant, only she knows, I suppose. But I do think it is meant to be a sort-of compliment.

it means she thought you where a bad guy and has since come to realise you were not as bad as she had initially thought, but are still a bit bad. the smile is irrelevant

Difficult to say, but she is warming to you. Probably on intial impression she didn't really like you. Intial impressions are hard to get right you are fortunate she stuck around long enough to find out. I wouldn't make any drastic changes.

^^ it was a face-to-face convo and i translated from arabic to english , i was used to AIM a lot before meeting her.
