Not quite. If the majority of people you find irritating or childish or stupid or w/e, then why should you lower your standards so you'll get one just to inevitably break up/divorce later? Why bother putting yourself through that kind of heartache and pain, not to mention possible monetary troubles.
Now, if it's solely physicall attractiveness then yes, I'd agree with you wholeheartedly jaw. But personality wise, there's probably about 1-2% of the worlds female population I'd be attracted to myself, same as possibly Eggman, but I'm not sure whether he's refering to personality or physicality.
Also, 1% of roughly 4 billion would be about 40 million, not hundreds of millions. Yeah, that's still a ton, but 40 vs 100's is a rather large difference.
