Swear words aside people LOL! I hate the saying "my woman" (I'm not a trophy/object!!) (Yes this is the 4th topic I've mention that but I have something new to add. I also don't think I'd call him babe (my friend said watching Goonies with my babe) I think that sounds silly. IMO honey/sweety sound ok for a relationship I have with someone but not those 2 and I'd never call my boyfriend a slacker! Man what a weird relationship my friend is in. I hope it doesn't last! (probably will married with kids LOL!)

Aside from profanaties and other insults, "Stupid" in particular. Call me any goofy nickname you want or throw out an insult in a heated argument if you absolutely feel you must (I would prefer being an adult and no name calling at all), but "Stupid" is the one thing I can not stand. My son's biological father (who never graduated high school and has no goals or ambition in life other than to get tattoos and smoke pot all day everyday) loved to call me stupid whenever he was mad at me. By no means am I stupid, but I just can't stand it being said in reference to me. Especially by someone I am in a relationship with and is supposed to love me.

Lol you two....

I don't really care what I'm called, as far as pet names. But if he calls me anything I'm probably going to tease him about it, cause I find pet names kind of goofy  I've never had a pet name for a boyfriend but I've been called a couple things on occasion, nothing that stuck.

I find pet names goofy to! Which is why I created this topic in the first place. :-) Sure I mention the "my woman" comment for the 4th topic but the idea for this topic popped into my head so I thought I'd make it. :-)

Pet names are too cutesy to me, I don't think I would want to be called any of them. Even "honey" and "sweetie" sound patronising to me. I guess it depends on the context. The only one I can think of that I would find acceptable is "lover" or "love". Although this is possibly me being influenced by a quote from my favourite show "Lover. How I love that word."

I don't mind what someone I love calls me, as long as it isn't a put down. I don't like being called strange.

I like being called babe and other pet names personal to the couple.

I worry about being called "bigoted" or "intolerant" because of my religious and political views.

My Old Lady. Seems so disrespectful. And I'm not old.
