Do you beleive in falling in love online or you think it 's BS ?

I heard a lot of stories and I witnessed some cases in some NT forums of ppl falling in love online ....without even meeting each others for real :/

what do you think abt that?

for me ....i think it 's an illusion love ...I mean the two sides build their own perfect compatible parnter in their heads but in reality this partner is different ...because there s always things that u can't detect in person thro the internet (even if you use webcam and voice...)

In my own mind, I believe it is possible to fall in love online, as it has happened to me, and to my father.

But as neither I nor he have ever met the people with whom we believe ourselves to be in love, there is no way of knowing if we would still love them if we actually met them "in real life".

So you may be right, it could just be an illusion.

On another note, it isn't always a good idea to fall for someone you may never meet. It can be quite a painful experience.

I think it's definitely possible.

I was just thinking today about how it's nice the way people relate online, mind-to-mind, without so many of the prejudges and games getting in the way.

I met my boyfriend on myspace and we met up few days later and fell in love or did we? Our friendship went down hill in June and I broke up with him a month later.

ahhhhh young love. *shudders*

I think that if you consider yourself to be in love with a person who you have never met in real life, then you are a bit immature, because you believe yourself to be in love yet you do not even properly know the person.

I also think that young people and people inexperienced in relationships easily form infatuations and mistakenly think these infatuations are love.

It's BS. Also it can be dangerous.

DON'T DO IT.

All I can say, is that anything i've ever depeloped online in this way, has been terrible.. add up to be the worst experiences of my life, even worse than bullying i've been through and Obsessive compulsive disorder.

I met my ex the old fashioned way, and I couldn't have done any worse.

I feel that love is wherever you find it, be it online, or IRL.

My rule: Never settle.

I ended up marrying someone that I had originally met online.
