I'm asking because I joined the other day and most profiles say "not recently active" .

I have an other question that has to do with internet dating: if you write someone how long does it normally take for them to answer?

AspieAffection is still up?

The time it takes people to answer varies from person to person and how busy they may or may not be, basically.

If a girl isn't getting replies on an aspie dating site then yea, it's certainly dead. Dead beyond death itself.

Aspie Affection has been BROKEN for a couple years now. It's well past time Alex took that site down

He may not be able to log in to check it or he gave up on going there or changed his email that alerts him of personal messages there by now. I get some kind of code page whenever I try to log in or register a new account. I would suggest trying to find a guy here instead because they are plenty of us here who are single & looking including me.

He's been promising to fix it for a couple years now. Most of us gave up on that site so it would be better to completely overhaul it & start over from scratch; clear out the member database ect. Also the idea of an Aspie dating site is NOT practical sense AS is more common with men than women & that women usually have an easier time getting dates than men so AS women would be less likely to use it compared to AS men so an autism dating site would be mostly guys. The ratio of guys to women on AA is like 10 to 1. Th women would get overwhelmed by messages from guys & guys would get frustrated at having no luck & some guys would lash out at the women in their frustration & women would get scared off; I seen that happen on other dating sites that had a much higher ratio of men to women.

Ok, I could understand if he hasn't gotten my message after all hi's profile says not recently active so maybe he hasn't been on there for ages.
I'd love to date someone from WP but it seems like most of you are in the Sates.
I've had a couple of views of my profile but no messages so I don't exactly know what to think about that now that you're saying that I should have been over run with messages.

Profiles can be viewed by nnonmembers & members who are able to search may have prooblems sending messages.

I REALLY wanted that Aspie Affection site to work for me, but there weren't many people on it, and I haven't even looked recently. I don't even know for sure if I have Aspergers, though I seem to maybe be mild-ish.

It seems like my best bet might be someone else with it, as I just have a horrific time understanding "normal" people, apparently, plus I'm just not very social.

Regarding the how long it takes for someone to write back... I'd say it could be hours, it could be days. Probably not longer than a few days if they're going to, would be my guess. But then I'm apparently utterly ret*d at dating type things, so what do I know? *sigh*

The problem with the eligible odd bod thread is that it's not sorted by age and location so it takes forever to sift through them all.
