Something light hearted!

Girls, guys - Is there a time and a place for your man's flatulence? Do other toilet-based gestures such as burping, stomach rumblings bother you? Do you have funny stories or have you taken measures about a windy problem? And heck, is it you that's the farter in the house?

A thread inspired by equestriatola's "To all females: What if your BF/husband cries?"

Man, this happened to my bf. He is weird. He kept farting during a movie because he thought I couldn't hear lol!! !! ! I still laugh about it, but I haven't told him I knew about it...He thinks I never heard him fart. That was gross though since he kept farting since I showed no reaction(I didn't know how to react!)

It's confirmation that he's a human being and not an android.
Seriously, how immature are we if we can't handle that fellow humans have bodily functions?

Charming.
Yeah, that's kinda different.
We (bf and I) don't even remark on them (burps, farts, etc) when they happen, not because we're ashamed, but because it's not an interesting happening-
We're two twenty-somethings, not five year olds.

Now I'm thinking of something I read where in several cultures if you're served a meal as a guest you're expected to burp as a sign of appreciation of their meal.

Dunno if there are places where you're expected to break wind, though.

No. Just young at heart. Why not find silly things funny? :)

I think accidental farts are the funniest.

The funniest fart I ever did was when my ex was flexing his arm muscles for my approval and, not to be outdone, I tried to flex my own. Back then I was a person who never worked out so I did not have much arm muscle to speak of and had no idea how one was actually supposed to flex one's muscles and make them look big, so I must have sort of squeezed my abdomon instead, and tensed my core while I was trying to flex my arm. This had the effect of making me fart loudly the instant I tried flexing my biceps.

You had to be there. It was just one of those hilariously embarrassing moments I'll never forget.

Flex arm. Result: fart.

Back on topic: I know farting and burping are natural and necessary but they do produce unpleasant smells. There is a fine line between letting them out to bring relief, versus holding them in out of consideration to other people, and making yourself ill. Which to choose? :? I normally do a giant burp after finishing a meal and I've noticed my dog does as well. It seems to be necessary.

Farting in the bath is fun. Does anyone agree?

My sense of humor is on the level of Family Guy so I'll probably won't be bothered by that kind of stuff usually; I'll find it funny more often than I'll be bothered by it

Farts can be funny to some but they're generally a non-issue when I hear them. Smelling them... is a different scenario entirely.

And of course there is this one friend of mine who attempts to trap me in his deadly fart clouds. I love him but... it's really annoying.

Lol I get annoyed if my brother tries to do that. I always manage to escape without smelling though since I dart away.
