How hot you find them is not the issue. Its more the other way around imo.

If you dont know what you are doing the hotter you find them the more likely you blow it

I've heard the theory that some super-hot people are not approached because of intimidation or people not thinking they're "good enough" to ask out said hottie.

I haven't seen that in real life... the hot people I knew of always seemed to have admirers... but I don't know how many of these admirers actually asked the man/woman out on some kind of date!

yep, i have seen people on this very site who look great in their pictures and they are very cool too!! ! but the rest of the world doesn't see what i see, maybe.

Guys are often scared to try and talk to extremely good-looking women out of fear of being persecuted for it.

Yeah. I know a few people like that (to the TC).

Also, it's kind of like what Venger said, at least for guys. I know it fits my reasoning to not do anything to a "T." Not sure about the girls.

I usually see the guys who hookup can ONLY hookup. They can't keep relationships going. Not as often with women on here, though.

Because "hot" alone, won't cut the mustard. If there is no intellectual capacity, for example, what is "hot" going to accomplish?

For me, "hotness" encompasses a wider range of attributes than just the physical side.

It does look it happens. However, this is often to do with the hot person being too avoidant, though. And screwing up every opportunity that comes their way when it comes to dating or relationships. I wouldn't say it's because they get completely ignored and rejected.
