This should settle the debate once and for all. A social experiment was conducted where an attractive young woman asked 14 men to sleep with her, with a 50% success rate. You can see the video here:

In the same manner, a guy asked 100 women, but got rejected every time. This guy wasn't bad looking either. This, you can see here:

A few of those girls may have otherwise actually been interested casual sex. However, the problem with guys asking them outright like that is that they still generally want to know that trust him before agreeing to it. It seems interesting to me that even some of the guys who refused looked like they refused out of caution but they are generally far less cautious than the girls. I certainly wasn't expecting as many guys to reply "Yes, ok" to some strange girl on the street asking "Do want to have sex with me right now?".

Another problem is that a lot of the girls were asked in groups, which some people seem think would probably make it less likely to get a "yes" response. Also, one of the girls didn't actually say "no" but said "maybe", I don't know if that is conditional or cautious "yes". "Maybe" to me sounds like she may agree to it but only if certain conditions are met.

Settle the debate? There is no debate. Besides, the best way to ask a girl for sex is by not asking her. If she wants sex with you, it will happen. The trick is to surround yourself with women who are open to having sex and go from there. That's the only way that works.

the girl asked the guys for sex and they all nearly agreed...the debate was settled before it started.

Pork scratchings are available for us unsophisticated types. I don't like popcorn - too sticky. And nuts are boring as a snack.

Where are the pints of mild being served?

Some might have said "Yes, OK" as a joke, but might back out if they were asked to literally drop everything.

I would be in the very cautious and "No" camp, personally. I'd think it was a set-up. And so it was.

Uh... no way man. It depends a lot on who you are and what kind of guy you're asking. And besides, most people, male or female, don't consider walking up to random strangers on the street and asking for casual sex to be the ideal way of getting their needs met, even if they don't want a relationship. For one thing it's not safe. For another it will probably be really bad sex. Replace that scenario with one in which people are trying to flirt and get laid in a normal social situation, and things become a whole lot more complicated for everyone. Most people tell me I'm attractive, but I've had a much higher rejection than success rate asking people out or trying to initiate a casual encounter. Likewise, I've rejected way more people of both sexes than I have accepted.

Yeah, okay, so in this preposterous and set-up situation, way more men than women said "yes" to a casual frack. Take a look at how ideas of female-male rape and realize the stigma that's against men if they turn down casual sex with an attractive woman. It's assumed they're unmanly or gay. Whereas women who DID accept would be treated as sluts. Just because something is influenced by a stupid social norm doesn't mean it makes either party happy and therefore doesn't necessarily make their life easier :/

The reason they get called that is because they can get-it much easier than guys in the first place, so it isn't much of an accomplishment.

This.

And that makes it alright to call women sluts if they have sex with lots of guys? The reason why it's a double standard is because men are not only praised for having lots of sex but are socialised into it, even they don't always want sex while the opposite is true for women. How easy it is to get sex is irrelevant in this context. Take that word and stick it "where the sun don't shine", it's misogynist.

P.S. By the way, haven't you ever thought that one of the reasons why it's easier for women to get laid than men is because of this double standard that women don't want to be called sluts? Think about it. Whenever a man gets to have sex, it's generally with woman (unless he's gay of course), therefore it follows that if it were more socially acceptable for women to seek sex then that would make it easier for men to get sex.

lol, except that's the entire reason it ISN'T a double-standard. And people that call it one usually don't even think about the difficulty factor.

Wrong, it's actually because of the labelling of sexually promiscuous women as sluts that makes it easier for women than men to get sex, not the other way round. See the bottom paragraph of my post above.

Also, even if it was easy women to get sex then that still doesn't explain why such behaviour should be shunned and why "slut" should be a dirty word, while the opposite is true for men, therefore it's still actually a double-standard.
