Here's my thoughts: if 2 people of the same gender want to get married, they should be allowed to, as marriage is about love. I hate it when someone says that it's wrong because it will lead to the human race dying out. That is just ridiculous cuz as long as there's still straight people the human race will go on, and whether gay marriage is allowed or not the number of gays won't change.
So come on, what's YOUR opinion?

A marriage between two of the same gender is not a marriage, just a perversion.

I have no issues with gay marriage. A human is a human regardless of their genitalia. I think the whole anti gay thing is utter crap and back in the dark ages, to be honest. The soul has no gender, or maybe I should say heart, but then again a heart is to many just a body organ. But you get my meaning. Love is love, whatever the form of those who experience it. It is just as valid between two of the same gender as it is between two of different gender, and if they wish to have a piece of paper to prove that devotion, then so be it.

I think so.

Why shouldn't two people be happy together? It's not like they're trying to marry a dog or something.

I'm all for it. Gets them out of competition with me.

Plus, a couple of women could always invite me in (so I think)

Not until I learn to spell.

I think it's none of my business to ask if they are male or female when they want to get married. I don't care what they do in bed or how they live their life. If it makes them happy, let them do it. I don't understand the issue people have with this at all. Personally, I find the government having anything to do with something as personal as marriage extremely offensive. It's like big brother. They even want their nose in your relationships. It's way too intrusive. I'd rather get rid of that and just let people marry who they want.

Ah, I see you've fallen prey to the propaganda. Marriage is a legal contract. It really honestly is not about love. You can't legalize/legislate love.

Anyway, "gay marriage" would have high costs for major employers.

Makes no sense to legislate against making that legal reality for those who are homosexual.

Married couples get all manner of benefits for it. Having kids is not a requirement of marriage. Gays and lesbians, currently, cannot get these same benefits, even though a marriage between two of them still could result in a family with a child. (Adoption, sperm donor, whatever the case may be). So they would be contributing more to the survival of the human race than a married couple that didn't plan on having children.

Saying gay marriage is wrong morally is silly. (ok, that's an opinion, but I'm still going to state it.)

Saying gay marriage is wrong (or not allowed) legally (and that it should be kept that way) is nothing more than taking the previous belief (that it is morally wrong) and adding a legal backing to it that doesn't have a good basis in the first place.

Only comparison I could come up with, mandatory minimums in drug charges. Not going into detail on that unless I have to, because right now I really need to go make some f'ing coffee.

I work for a major employer (400,000 employees) and we already have partner benefits. It costs more to have to run those a different way because they can't be done the same as married benefits. It's actually more costly to do that (and most competitve companies have it to get the best employees) and it's more costly to have people running around uninsured or left without money because we can't just insure who we want as a dependent or leave our money to who we want without crazy court battles that cost more money. It's a waste of money and time. The whole marriage is a legal contract as well. Half of them end in divorce and all this money is spent arbitrating their personal fights. I'd rather see my money burned than pay for that stupid crap.

If you make changes thins without fully understanding social economical implication the it will create other problems.

The major religions have not been for gay marriage. They believe that it is not good for society; we need to understand why SCIENTIFICALLY.
