We all know that aspie traits can make you unattractive. Let's talk about how they can make you attractive. I'm a huge optics geek. Mainly about glasses, but I've been getting into photography optics as well. I'm thinking of using my knowledge about optics to make my photos super flattering. I won't mention being an optics geek on my profile. I don't think that's attractive at all.

I don't see how you can make being autistic attractive to people. As far as I'm concerned it's something I don't want anyone to find out about. Being a loser is bad enough, but being a loser and a freak is just too much to handle. Best to keep very quiet about autism.

You can be attractive with Aspie traits if your "special interest" impresses a prospective partner.

Or if you appear to have thorough knowledge of a lot of things.

Or if you have such focus that you could make money out of that focus.

Or if the person seems to live by a strict moral code.

Frankly, if a person really looks at things objectively, that person could discern that people with Asperger's could be attractive in many ways.

I'm not saying that people with Asperger's are "evolved," or are "superior" to others in any way.

Within the years I learned to use my natural way of being to 'connect' with people. I may for example say what I really think about something and as long as I smile people think I'm soooo funny. Which may not necessary showing my true personality but it's easier than pretending to be someone else.

You could use your superior memory skills to remember the important dates and preferences of your significant other--knowing exactly what toppings she likes on her pizza and ice cream.

I think the quirkiness(with in reason) and directness is something a lot of NT guys could be attracted to

I don't think NT women are attracted to aspie traits in men however

I recently spoke at a student rally in which I proposed creating a student union for disabled students. After I finished my extremely crappy speech, a girl who I never met before and was not disabled approached me and she tried to kiss me in front of everyone. She also tried asking me out on a date. :x

Not all of them are NTs. A few are undiagnosed NDs.

I find, in relation to the quantity of our population, that there are quite a few NT's who are fascinated by people with autism, and want to be friends/lovers with them.

This is not an isolated phenomena.

Not really sure how I would use my Aspie traits to make myself more attractive. The only thing I can probably use is my special interest of traveling but besides that the other traits aren't that exciting lol

Travelling is pretty exciting.

One of my "special interests" deals with travelogues from all over the world. I can't stop reading them.

Traveling is exciting and so are travelogues! Right now I'm trying to see if I can go backpacking around the world sometime this year! That would be awesome

Now THAT'S a way you could meet a quirky, unique woman who doesn't mind somebody who is neurodiverse!
