Some men say, "I am a little spit fire." I don't know what that means. Does that mean 'Im Hot.'

I've heard that one - doesn't exactly mean you're 'hot' persay, doesn't mean you're not either. It's more along the lines of you being really strong willed with a bit of a temper (but again in a positive way), perhaps very vocal? It's actually a hard one to explain.

I've always interpreted the expression to mean "you seem very passionate".

spitfires are a kind of caterpillar as well so he probably means that.
